Thank you so much for reading this blog! This is mostly my thoughts and rants about the world I live in. If you have a problem, please take it out on your what-ever-it-is-that-you-take-your-anger-out-on. Not my blog.

...so is it going to be legalized or what?

How long has it been? Seriously, it's been two months... (Laugh) I'm sorry I've been so lazy and so slow-poke and whatnot.

Also, in advance, I'd like to apologize if I use incorrect terms or have understood things wrong.. Feel free to correct me! (But don't come commenting on fruking caps lock like you own the place. I won't even read your comment if you want to be rude and just put me down, 'kay?)

The fight for gay marriage continues in America. I really feel like they've been putting it off way too long. I mean, why shouldn't some people be allowed to get married when others are? It puts gay couples in a difficult position for example with hospital costs and things like that (I've understood that in america couples can have 'shared' insurances?).
A couple of weeks ago Finnish people tried to push a new law preposal but they didn't accept it because the members of the parliament-or-what-ever-it-is-that-you-call-them didn't support it. (I think only one party was supporting?) And I think that it's complete bollocks. (Damn, that sounds really British..)

The reason I'm bringing this up is obviously because I want to talk about how it makes me feel.
Just to make things clear from the start: I might be bi, I might be straight, who knows? It's not something I'm hiding, per say, but I haven't exactly told anyone. Why? Because no one asked. I do prefer boys, but I don't see why I couldn't fall in love with a girl someday. I mean, I've never had a crush on a girl but I have had crushes on boys. Hell, I haven't even celebrity-crushed on a girl! But I don't think that that'd make me straight... Yeah, I don't exactly know what I am yet, I haven't even kissed anyone, so I'm keeping my mind open on the subject.
Well anyway, to get back to my original topic: I want gay marriage to be legalized. I don't honestly see any reason why not. I think that (at least in Finland, I don't much about other countries) politicians have quite flimsy reasons to be against it.
To give you an example:
I saw a talk show on TV when the gay marriage talk was at its peek a few weeks back, where there was a member of parliament (I don't remember who it was exactly..) and a girl, a young reporter, who had been raised by two women. The mop (I'm just going to shorten it from now on because I'm lazy and I like the fact the abbrevation could be a mop :D) went on to explaining why he was against gay marriage. He told that he thinks that if gay marriage were to be legalized and gay couples would get a better chance of adoption, the children would suffer because they would potentially be missing a father/mother figure. What the hell? He was trying to go around it and be diplomatic for a while because of the girl. And that girl is my fricking idol. She just sat there listening and even though I could tell that she was annoyed and disgusted by this man she just went on to tell about her life and she stated that she hadn't missed anything growing up without a father. I still think that his reasoning was idiotic and I don't understand how this guy actually got into the goverment...
Aaanyway, my point is that I've grown up believing that every person should be equal and I don't understand the people who are so much against gay marriage. If you are one of these people I'm genuinly interested in what you think of this topic. I want to know why you're against it. And also, I'd like to know what it exactly takes away from you if some random people decide to get married? I think that maybe some of the people on the "against" side are just not thinking it through and are just going with the flow, so to say.

So in short: I'm in for gay marriage!

Thank you for reading my thoughts and all, I know that this blog probably doesn't have any readers except for a couple of friends, but if you have something to say/add/correct etc. I'll be interested in hearing about it! ^^

PS. I don't have any music this tine, but I recommed checking out this J-pop/J-rock band called Scandal. They're awesome! :3
(Not as awesome as prussia though... If someone picks up that reference I will love you forever! :3)

EDIT: yes I edited it a bit... because I felt so awkward about it and... yeah. Deal with it.

Why is music so important to me?

This is a very difficult question... When someone asks me if music is important to me the answers simple, but when asked why it's important, it gets all complicated. I mean, music isn't important to everyone.
I've kind of grown up with music, even though my parents aren't very musical or anything. When I was really small my mom took me to these music classes for little kids where we just sang kids' songs and played kantele, a Finnish traditional instrument that is very easy to learn. After that, when I went to school (age 7) I started to play the flute. At the time when I decided I wanted to play, I didn't actually even know what a flute looked like. I just liked the sound of it, I guess. Now I'm in love with it of course, and I've actually started to rehearse it since I'll have to complete my basic level this spring, and it's going to be a lot of work. After that I'll have to start playing in the conservatory level...
Well, to get back on my actual story...

The infamous first post!

Hello and welcome on this internet-adventure which is my blog!

For this blog-thingy first I think it might be good for anyone reading this (that's you) to know something a about me. My screenname is a nickname one of my friends gave me and it's quite close to my actual name. I'm a Finnish girl, age 14 (though I'm turning 15 on the 27th of January) and I'm on 8th grade. My main hobbies are playing classical music and dancing ballet. I also draw, read (books and manga), write, watch movies and anime and (obviously) listen to music. (This starts to sound like a dating site post... Well I hope we'll have a great blogger-reader relationship!)
I've started this blog mainly because I really want to get my thoughts written somewhere else than a diary, but I've realised that it has a lot of other great sides. I want to improve my english and hopefully find some new people.
I want to write about things that bother me, make me smile, worry me, make me cry or just make me angry. I really enjoy writing and so I'm looking forward to this!

I'll start writing soon, see you then!
